Medical Marijuana Caregivers Association of El Dorado County (MMCA) incorporated in January, 2004, as a nonprofit corporation to provide medical marijuana to qualified patients according to the guidance of California Senate Bill 420 which was intended to clarify implementation of Proposition 215.
As a collective, MMCA provided the full spectrum of medical cannabis products through in-house production, along with help and advice for the medical needs of our members. Most importantly as a collective, MMCA offered a safe and secure venue for our members to associate with other patients.
With the passage of Proposition 64, Adult Use Marijuana Act of 2016, our patients can no longer freely associate onsite and due to compliance with the new licensing requirements of the Bureau of Cannabis Control. MMCA has had to step back from producing products in-house and offer a cultivated selection of compliant products.
In November 2016, El Dorado County voters approved moving forward with full adult recreational cultivation and retail sales. In January 2018, MMCA was Licensed through the State of California Department of Cannabis Control.
Moving into our 20th year of operation in El Dorado County, MMCA is now an adult recreational dispensary and is able to provide our community with affordable and safe access to a range of marijuana products. We are happy to announce we are now serving customers 21+ for adult recreational marijuana, as well as continuing to serve our medical marijuana patients 18+ with a valid doctor's recommendation.
Located in Cameron Park, we serve neighbors from Shingle Springs, Placerville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills and throughout the surrounding foothills. As a small, locally owned operation, the community is the reason we're here — and we're grateful to have grown alongside it for two decades.
We're open 7 days a week. Stop by, say hello, and let us help you find something that works for you.
